Default rodi unit help

so i bought a new4 stage rodi unit from brs and ran about 100g through it, and decided to test the water and it was reading .15ppm with my hanna checker…i was surprised i thought it was going to read 0.00ppm, is this normal, what should i do? i thought the filters were to last a long time

Keep running water through it. It will eventually clear up. I ran about 150 gallons through mine before it tested at 0.

Has your Hanna checker ever been calibrated, mine was off quite a bit until I adjusted it with Hanna solution. Got lots if you need some.

You are concerned with the tds coming out of the ro unit.
I stole this from as desert rat on nano reef.

TDS does not necessarily mean 0 phosphates. Phosphates like silicates and forms of ammonia are weakly ionized and may not register on a hobbyist grade TDS meter, it would require a conductivity or resistivity meter to get to that level for sure.
That being said, if you are getting a reading of 0 TDS I would say its safe to assume the phosphate levels are low enough to not be a concern in the RO/DI water
