Default Anyone own a newer jeep liberty?

Hey, so my wife seems to have her heart set on a newer jeep liberty. Looking at the 2003-2007 years. Anyone have any experience? I love my jeep but these new ones are not the old reliable 92 cherokee 4.0L and I wonder if I will be able to work on these new things. Thanks for anyone that pipes up.

me and the wife almost bought one last spring and it was just amazing, the 4x4 in it was really impressive and the power was there if ya needed to pass someone. IMO they are awesome and feel really safe to drive.
and the one we almost bought was the trail edition.

A friend of mine owns one, and she says that the biggest complaint she had was the windshield. The angle of it doesn't deflect debris so well and so it makes it more suseptable to rock chips. Apparently the glass shops say that these jeeps are one of the most common vehicles in there. But other than that there were few complaints.

Got a 2007 Jeep Liberty, which has the stable control (not like 2005, which doesn't have this option, so handling in winter 2004/2005 is poor). I have the trail rated 4X4, special edition, fully loaded and love it! Best vehicle I've owned. It works great for hauling just about anything. I have even pulled a trailer. Love the 4x4 in winter also, when other vehicles are stuck not the jeep. It will make your wife giggle. IMO, I think its a great vehicle. You sit high, great for putting the dog in the back trunk area, child care seat fits in easy and the door opens from the side to get all your groceries in and anything you can think of to buy in there too. I think your wife would love it. Just think, its not a station wagon either but has the versatility of one.

Hope that helps!

P.S - To fill tank is about $65 bucks. Not bad in the city for a V6, however does really good on the highway.
