Default Encouraging pineapple sponge

I use to have a butt load of pineapple sponges in my tank but it looks like something ate them or they died.

Anyone know what I can do to start growing them?

I could even set up a separate tank

I think they grow well when they have nutrients. If they decline, your water must be in better shape.
If there aren't any left, I guess you will have to import one from a friend, to see if it multiplys. Are there any in the sump?

Yeah I've got a sump with a bunch of rock. But no sponges on the underside of any of the rocks

+1, this stuff works wonders for sponge growth. Although risky adding multiple sources of healthy liverock and have many shaded areas also causes the stuff to explode.
