Default Phosban reactor and Chemi Pure elite???

Hey Gang,...bit of a newb question I guess but can I run Chemi pure Elite in my phosban reactor instead of GFO?

From what I read ChemiPure Elite is supposed to be like GFO and carbon together so I am thinking they are for similar purposes...

Let me know what you think.

Do I just pour the Chemipure out of its bag into the reactor chamber?

Thanx
Blaine

Hey Blaine, I would think that's all you need to do is cut open the bag of chemipure and run it in the reactor. I would recommend a pre-rinse with some old tank water to get rid of the cloudiness but if I recall correctly chemipure is usually cleaned already. I do use chemipure in the biocube but not in the big tank. I do ran carbon and rowaphos in the same reactor for the 300, most people say that rowaphos will last a lot longer then carbon but I figure whats the point stretching it out to full exhaustion, I rather keep on a monthly re and re bases to keep everything running optimal. Give it a try and see how it goes.
