Default What thickness of acrylic?

What is the minimum thickness of acrylic I should use to make a new overflow box? I don't want it To bend under pressure.

I wonder... does anyone care enough to read signatures if you make them really small? I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds.

Yea my tank crashed. So I'm redoing a few things. I never accounted for the cross brace so I can't clean inside the box. Fat hands. So I want to make it longer width wise so I can get in to remove algae. Or Fish... Which happened once and SUCKED to get it out.

You make me another and I'll bring you a case of beer! I do not oppose paying you this time as you have been very generous B

Can the inside of the overflow box be painted with Krylon Fusion so that you will not be able to see the plumbing?
I have a bunch of clear plexiglass and thinking of redoing my overflow but do not want the plumbing visible.

Ya, just make sure that before you weld everything together you lightly sand the one side. The paint will adhere better afterwards. HTH

Consider getting some black acrylic and slip that inside the box. That way, you can remove it and clean it from time to time. I would also find a way to make the grid removable for cleaning.

You could also just buy 1/4" black acrylic.

just spread black silicone across the inside of the box and forget about it. a uniform black that should very closely match the seams holding your box on as well (assuming they're black silicone).
