Hey everybody.
So this will be my first tank journal and im very excited about my new tank. After having my 55 for a year and a half and becoming obsessed with reef keeping i decided to upgrade my tank
So here's what i have so far

144 gallon display with duel overflow
50 gallon sump
Poseidon PS4 External Pump
48" Aquamedic 2X250W MH Fixture with 2 X PC bulbs
48" Coralife 2X54W T5HO Fixture for supplemental lighting.
Vertex IN 180 protein Skimmer.
4 korallia 4's
along with lots of other equipment.
I just picked up the tank tonight from Carmen, its sitting in my garage right now and im hoping to set it up tomorrow. and start filling it tommrow as well
Cant wait to get the system up and running
Pictures to come tomorrow

Cool. I have the same tank. Only complaint is that it is extremely hard to get any good pics due to the curvature of the glass.

I have mostly branching tonga rock so I have alot of caves. The center is pretty much all open. My camera is charging right now but I can PM you a pic if you want once it's charged.

Yes I am the one who bought the sexy curvy tank. I hope to aquascape this weekend. I was wondering how much rock would be a safe amount to take out of my 55. I would like to take as much as possible but am unsure what a safe amount to leave in would be.

that would sorta depend on what your plans are.......Im assuming that your intending to use all the rock from the 55?......are you gonna be adding more rock to what you already have?

Default Congrats on the new tank!!

Hey Brett

Glad you got such a nice tank. Looking forward to seeing the progress, especially given how SPECTACULAR your 55 looked!

I've decided to go with a custom 70-75g cube with starfire and eurobracing.

So far, the LED lights are working well.. hoping my sps will color up

Steve
