Default Holy torrent of death, or just right?

So i had a extra Maxi 600 after grabbing a new skimmer, so i figured id use it in circulation mode, (750gph) and this is the result, doesnt seem healthy!

edit: i have it turned off for now. looks like my xenia are gonna go flying lol
should i just use it on powerhead mode (140gph)

tried both, would just blast sand, which im sure would stop, for now i just made it back into a power head, 3 power heads of flow seems like enough for a 33 anyways.

softies dont need that much flow i take it, if it was all SPS LPS id leave it.

or am i wrong, they just need time?

totaly agree with leave it.. sps or no xenia will adjust to the flow and grow like a weed in a healthy tank. delicate lps with sharp skeletons and thin flesh might not like it, and the sand will settle down as it moves around to accomadate the flow. perhaps even with some bare spots.

before i had a second mp10 in my tank i had the 1200 in a 55 and i thought it was to much flow, with a little rescaping its in there with the 2 mp 10's and everything i have in there still has a happy spot.

yeah you think? ill redo it tomorrow now that all the dust is claering from the rescape, i also think it would be better for the LR getting more flow. now many spots to move the softies out of it though, only the xenia really seems to be super affected by the flow

That much flow would be ok if you only had sps however to much flow like that will just upset softies and cause them not to do well.

Agreed. Too much for softies, but I'm sure your SPS are breathing a sigh of relief!

i think i can manage to move the softies around to stop any massive pull/push on them.
lights are just coming on now so we'll see how they do.
Softies are better then SPS so if they dont like, SPS can suck it (but not die) lol
