Default Building code for sillcocks/hose bibs

Anyone know if it's now code to use those frost free / anti-siphon POS hose bibs (sillcocks)? I have two on my house which were never even used before last weekend and both leak like crazy from the vent. I have to replace them and don't want to install the same thing, would rather install the old style bib with an extra shut off valve on the inside of the house for draining.

you can just get replacement gaskets for them from a plumbing supply place, easy fix.

Personally, I would not replace them with a standard one, I have fixed too many frozen ones over the years.

I would just replace it if needed with a better quality frost free one, they are out there.

I wasn't able to find a replacement gasket set or repair kit plus the gaskets all look fine. Is there a good brand you can recommend? Thanks!

Where did you go to find a repair kit??

Try Emco or a plumbing supply place, not Home depot ot one of the box stores.

Yeah I went to HD, rona and lowes. I'll try some better places first before replacing the full unit. Thanks!
