That is all dependent on nutrient level and lightin. I picked up 5 for my ponie tank and they took right okk but are under crazy lighting

Painfully slow for me. After 10 months and nothing but some roots I just gave mine away.

I have a dozen and mine grow painfully slow. Mine were bought from another canreefer and were rooted when I got them. It's been at least 6 months and most of them now have one set of leaves on new growth that is about an inch long.

If you want your mangroves to grow quickly, look up some of the papers by Anthony Calfo. I used a few of his tricks, like misting the leaves daily, and mine took off until it actually got too big to be in my tank (I had no sump at the time). It seems the trick is simulating their natural environment (rising/falling water levels, mists from the sea and rain which removes exfoliated salt, etc.) rather than just sticking them in a sump and expecting them to grow. Their just like a coral woth their own requirements.

Poke around a bit. I think he even did a video presentation on this... try his linkspage at Marine Depot (http://forum.marinedepot.com/Topic19836-13-1.aspx)

Hey! Look at this. I found the links I used before when growing these. I think I might grow them again!

their growth is very dependent on nutrient from my experience. If nitrates are 20 it can grow almost 1cm a day (roots and stem/leaves). When nutrients are lower it can seem like slow growth.
good lighting is very important and also keeping it rinsed seems to keep it healthier.

Thanks everyone I can tell you it is slow going with this shoot been like 6 months or so. Good light Macro algae love the light. It is a PC light.

Just wanted to get some opinions and figure out how it will take to out grow my cabinet.
