Aiptasia hitch hiker?

Discovered this little guy on the back of one of my new Hermit shells.....is it Aiptasia??

I'm not sure what that is. Normally aiptasia is reasonably transparent-ish. I don't think that's an aiptasia.. Sorry I guess that's not much help.

I'm kind of hoping it's not.....I rather like it. Have to give it an A for effort too....it has 8 Hermits that keep attempting to try the shell on for size...flipping it over and burying it in the sand constantly.

If it is Aiptasia....I'd like to get it out of my tank before it gets any bigger...or spreads

im still a newbie, but i was told by (my mind is going blank but it was a reputable place) that apatasia if it gets a lot of light can sometimes go brown...

i would say its better just to take out the shell
