Default Purple tang VS Halimeda.

WTH?

Is this normal? he leaves all the caulerpa alone, but eats the halimeda? And all the nori I put in the tank...

Is it bad to eat that? Isnt it calcium based and hard?

Hmmm.

Purple tangs need a lot of meaty food too, just in case you weren't aware of that. They are not your basic herbivorous tang.

Well, he gets his share of mysis and frozen formula 1.

he eats quite a bit of it! He is a fat sucker.

I just thought the halimeda was going overboard for him!

ok, this is starting to get silly. My halimeda is chewed up like mad. yet, all day long I have nori in the tank... the tang picks at the nori, but LOVES the halimeda.

The tang gets tons of mysis and baby brine and frozen formula1.

Does anyone else have a tang doing this or does my tang just have "attitude"? Should I be concerned?

I don't have one but if I get one I'll be sure to get some halmidia for it to snack on...
