![]() I posted a pic on this website where people can rate your fishtank (in my case, a reef tank).
http://www.ratemyfishtank.com/toplist.php?ut=1 As an experiment, I set my location to Canada for the first week and I averaged 6.2. Then, I changed my location to USA and now my total average is 7.27 meaning that after I changed my location, the new votes were around 8.2 making my overall average 7.27. So, by simply having a Canadian location, I was getting 20% lower marks. I realize that the sample size is too small to make any conclusions but it was just an experiment that I thought was interesting. Feel free to post your pics for fun. |

![]() We can test this. How many votes did you get when you were "Canadian" and how many now that you're "American"? I have the significance charts in a textbook.

![]() Its was about half/half. 9 and 9, I believe.
My very first vote was a 10 (from webmaster I'm guessing) so the next 8 votes dropped me to 6.2 average (after 9 votes). Then after changing to US, the next 9 raised me to 7.277 average. |

![]() Nevermind, I just remembered you can't calculate significance without having all the scores. Oh well, as you said, sample is far too small to take as meaningful.
