Default skimmer plans

Just wondering if any had and detailed plans for an effective skimmer, I was thinking of trying to make one of the xmas break, rather than buying one. Thanks.

I was going to make a simular one. Where are are you going to be getting your materials? I have no exact detailed plans for one, maybe we could get together and make a couple

well, i guess just like the link i posted... it has all the materials listed that you need, and step by step instructions on how to assemble it. The only problem with the one in that link is the outlet has to be plumbed above the top of the mixing box or it won't work....

I'm sure you could modify that, but I think that is the most detailed description I've seen. You might find a thread on RC, but it doesn't get much better for details than that link

wouldnt it just be cheaper to just buy one than to make one yourself

No way! My skimmer cost me about $100 to make, and the comparable "retail" is about $700.
