Question Preparing for my first clam

So I "plan" to pick up a clam from Blue World when the Cook Island batch arrives.

This will be my first clam and just looking for advice on clam keeping to ensure long term it will be happy.

For those of you who don't know my tank.... I have a 48"- 6 bulb tek light over a 70 gallon tank.

Any info on "ideal" placement and flow conditions, feeding, etc. is appreciated. Also.. I heard about making a "base" for the clam to sit on so it can moved if necessary. Anyone done this?

I have been doing some research, but first hand experience by reefers is priceless.

I wonder... does anyone care enough to read signatures if you make them really small? I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds.
