Do you carry avalanche beacons and probes when you go out?

You can rent sleds and guided tours in WHistler I know. Just not with the Olympics LOL. Alot of snowmobile adventure tours out there too. It really IS a blast. Great way to experience the outdoors. The Greenies give us heck, sayin were bad for the environment. But then they hop in their helicopter and fly to a peak and ski down repeadedly. Helicopters use far more fuel than sleds do. And tracks in the snow, they melt, we were never there hehehe......

Yes, allways. And thats why that day the footage is all in the trees. Was about 12" of fresh on a iced hard base. It was slidding and breaking off everywhere. A 80ft slope isnt bad with a foot breaking loose, in some places can be kinda fun/get the adrenalin going. But a 800+ vFt slope, BAD NEWS!

Are you using that GoPro helmet cam? I was thinking of getting one... mainly for snorkeling.

Ya I know about that snowmobiles are not that bad. We just have a problem with the ATVs ripping up the alpine it takes a long time for the alpine to recover after getting ripped up by ATVs. The Chem is a place that dirt bikes and ATVs ripped apart on a number of occasions.A barrier has been put up to stop this destruction. Not all ATV/ Snowmobiles are bad but it only takes a few to give the hobby a bad name. Most people want to enjoy what is there. I would love to try snowmobiling looks like a blast.wink:
Most of us never take the easy way up though.

ALWAYS have to be a few bad apples in the bunch that wreck it for everyone.....if wheeled machines (quads, bikes jeeps) could stick to the trails make it more enjoyable for everyone. That one guy makes 5 trips in 5 minutes accross a muddy meadow make look like a 100 people gone through it.

I am an avid sledder and quadder and sometimes I get disgusted by what goes on
