Haha...calling it that will confuse a few people. You mean do the SCWD's work? I run one on my nano tank.

They are pretty popular but they have their issues. If you get the new 1" version, you can take it apart and clean it which should hopefully help solve some of the reasons that people have left these things after using them for a while.

Remember that by using one, you will be cutting down on your flow significantly so plan on going for bigger flow so that the cut down version will be right where you want it to be.

I would just leave the returns constant and invest in a Vortech, Controllable Koralias, couple tunzes on a controller, or some Maxi-Jets on a JBJ Duo or Wave Bar.

I run 2 modded Maxi-Jets with sureflow kits on a wave bar and they chatter a little on start up but I dont mind as its in my living room. When I upgrade I am going to want something quieter so I will be looking at a Vortech or Tunze package.
