Default hospital tank

i am going to set up a tank for new fish before going in main .do you treat all new fish for ick?do i need to add anythink to tank to help keep /get them strong?also once fish come out of tank can they go right into main tank or do i need to treat them like new fish and slowly drip water from main tank into a bucket with fish?

in my experience with freshwater i wouldn't treat them for ich as it can be very stressful to add medications to the water when they already are stressed from the move, i would just quarantine them and watch them make sure there eating properly and if it does have any ich it should show up in the two weeks or so you have it in the tank, also i would always accumulate the fish no matter what so they don't die in the shock
