It would be best to know a little more about what you have in place. Do you have a sump? Are you looking for a Hang-on-back version? If yes, how much room do you have?

Those answers will let us help you a lot more.

+1, we do need more information... Also don't go cheap on a skimmer, I can tell you this by experience. It is important to get a good one, and you do get what you pay for... Personally I would try to budget $400-600 for this. You will have much more selection and will get something that will work.

Not knowing what you have I will recommend the following brands, depending on what you are going to do and what you have, you will then have to select the appropriate model:
- Tunze
- EuroReef
- ASM
- Hydor
