Default got a new coralife pro 36 inch light BUT

but my tank has a brace right thru the main light. Just wondering if any one new if it would work to remove it and put a 2 braces a little closer to the edges. Just need enough room to get around the 6inch light,or could i just take it out completely or will i have a lake on my floor in the moring water. Any ideas please let me know oh tank is a 55 gallon 36Lx18wx18h with 8mm glass.

In the past, I have cut the center brace on Perfecto 65 gallon tanks with no problems. An 18" tall tank doesn't have as much pressure on it as a 24" tall tank. Not recommended by the tank builder, but I have done it.
