red list, of red lists.

I figured we could all get together and write up a red list of red lists, those for fish and corals, that should be left in the closet due to the fact that they are nearly impossible to keep, and usually are made up of crap for one reason or another.

I think this is an attempt at sarcasm (which, BTW, should be left to me!). It sounds like he wants to put together a list of lists that we shouldn't list. Or something like that? If not, I'm really confused (which is my other specialty)
