Filter change time
Think its time to change the filter.
Its from a friends deep well system. Not sure if its just sludge but looks like rust. Whatcha think.

iron bacteria?
When was the last time he shocked his well. Looks like iron bacteria.

Iron Bac.
If it is iron bacteria, there is not alot you can do but shock the well. If there is a small amount of iron getting through, the softener will take it out (I believe a max of 3 ppm.) Check the tanks of the toilets, if there is alot of iron bacteria it will show up as a brown slimy goo inside the tank. I am in Calgary right now, I will check my books whwn i go back home tomorrow.
