Default 10gal nano journal

So while I plan out my show tank and watching everything grow in my 20H i decided to start a new nano

tank spec's

standerd 10gal

coralife 20" 96watt lighting

75watt ebo-jager heater

AC50 HOB

koralia nano x 2

10lbs caribsea aragonite (fiji pink)

5lbs live rock

the reason i only went with 5lbs of live rock is because with my 20H i bought 20lbs of rock but than when i was buying my coral alot of the stuff i wanted I couldn't buy due to the fact that they were on large pieces of rock. originally i was going to do a nano sps tank but decided to wait till the larger tank since my lighting is not good enough. but i am transfering a few yuma's and florida ric's over to the tank once its ready. some corals i plan on keeping is an open brain, aussie duncan for sure.

Could you help me understand this light. The Current website has things really confused as to what kind of bulbs are in this fixture. The site indicates that it uses T5HO but then that the bulbs are 18W. When you look at their bulbs, the only 18W bulb they make is a Power compact...which is the one referenced by the fixture.

I have the Nova Extreme X2 which uses 20W T5HO bulbs and I'm just trying to figure out if there are other bulbs out there that would work for me.

yes they do use T5HO bulbs and they are 18w a bulb. the fixture has semi-individual reflectors and after 1 hour of the fixture on the poly extension on both SPS was extremely noticable

The fixture is new so maybe the site hasn't been updated yet with the other bulbs

Well i think its time for a quick update. lesson learned, power heads to close to SPS is a bad thing. moved the acro to a different location but it still died off due to the damage. Besides that the birds nest, monti and that little mille frag are doing great. also picked up a large mille colony early last week that is doing great. And added a clam just over a week ago that is doing good in the sand.

and finally i almost have this hair algae problem under control. set my lights for 11:30-9:30.
