Default CoralVue Reef Octopus Pro 250 Skimmer

Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up on what looks like a great skimmer...

It's VERY well manufactured and easy to disassemble, including the 2 part bubble plate, allowing for easy cleanup of the unit. The foam that it produces looks like shaving cream, really dense small bubbles and when the unit is turned off the foam does not dissipate. I saw this on a unit that was already running, mine is still breaking in but producing a good head so far.

Cant really hear the CoralVue running because of the air manifold that was supplied with the unit. This alone is a great feature.

This is the new line that is replacing/replaced the ASM skimmers. Is this made with light plastic or is it a heavier Acrylic?

Ask your LFS to contact CoralVue at

So far I'm really impressed with this unit, it pulls a lot more from the water column then my ASM G-6 and its easy to adjust between wet/dry skimming.

The CoralVue Reef Octopus is working really well. I got it dial in so that it produces about 4 inchs of nice rich dark foam. Had to move it to another sump because of micro bubbles... its easier to see and clean the collection cup this way.

They are not cheap for copies, might as well get the real thing for almost the same price,
