Default 1/2 lb swing check valve

Anyone use them? I bought a 1/2lb one to run on my barracuda pump on my return line. Just wondering if it's ok? Good or bad?

I've never noticed a "lb" rating on them before.

How much pressure gets exerted on it is more related to the total volume of water and the height above the check valve. It's not really related to what pump you are using.

you can buy them in 1/2 lb, and 2lbs ratings, as well as 5 - 30psi. I grabbed the 1/2 lb one.

I'm just wondering more if they are ok to use. I realize it's another item to maintain. but as long as it's not going to clog every week, or slow my flow drasticly. Anyone running one, would like some feedback

Thanks
