Default building my cube 30x30x30

well I'm designing my cube and this is what I have come up with.
30x30x30 1/2"
2" euro bracing around
over flow box in the middle of the tank on the back pane at the top with 2 holes drilled for 2 durso' 1.5" pvc. if You see wnything wrong with it please let me know, should I have a smaller over flow box say 8x6x6 or 6x6x6

Default how about going external for overflow?

Why not have an external overflow? I'm just asking......

If I were to custom design a tank - I would seriously consider this - gives more room in the tank.

Yeah I thought about it, but I am thinking the weight of the overflow on the back? Does it need any extra bracing? If anyone has any pics of an external overflow, please post them.

Thanks,
Mike

I think the external would be neat Mike and easy to do as the tanks being built. My problem with it is the amount of rear space needed but would it be much more than,s required for the pipes you have drawn? If I was doing that I would install a single 2in. overflow, similar to the one I have in my 45 cube.

Are you actually going to build this tank yourself?

If so....... a photo pictorial would be cool.

I've always wanted to build a tank

Cheers,

I'm thinking about Starfire for the tank too. But I know it scratches so easy. What does everyone who have starfire do to clean their tank.
