Cruiseliner Sinks After Iceberg Crash
Updated:02:11, Saturday November 24, 2007

A cruise ship has sunk in the icy waters of the Antarctic Ocean, hours after scores of tourists were rescued from it.

They had paid thousands of pounds to explore one of the world's most inaccessible areas, but were forced to abandon the ship after it struck an iceberg.

The Canadian ship Explorer has now completely sunk, according to the Chilean navy.

"Our units in the area aren't seeing anything," a navy spokesman said. "The Explorer is not visible any longer."

A little far away from Antarctica.. LOL.. Its on the other side of the globe from The Arctic which our navy patrols. Would take our navy days to get down there. Go look at a map.. LOL.. CANADA and ANTARCTICA. Note the differences.

id hardly say it was a canadian titanic, it was a adventure tour group that everyone escaped from unharmed, it took the boat over 2 days to sink and it was a polish adventure boat doing the same tour that rescued them,

My question is will the customers have to pay extra for the ABANDON SHIP EXCURSION?

Mwaaa ha ha.

That kind of sucks....though, I live for those types of experiences. I love having a good story to tell, lol. I'd pay extra for the "Abandon Ship Excursion" any day of the week! And hey...free trip to Chile.
