Default Anyone been to Aquagiant lately

Just wondering if anyone went to aquagiant lately. I was there today and bought a damsel from what I could tell. The employees couldnt really answer any of my questions or give me the name of the fish. Basically its a really dark dark blue almost black. It has two super bright blue fluorescent stripes across (horizontal) its body and one kinda yellowish vertical stripe right in the middle between the head and tail. Im looking for information on this fish so I need the name. Its in the tank with the 4 stripe black and white damsels.

By the way these really nice looking fish are only 7.99.

Thanks for the help in advance.

What kind of fish was it? I noticed those when I was in Aquagiant the other day. Why do you say it was a big mistake?

Well from what I found on google its a velvet damsel. The nice coloring they have is only there when they are juveniles. Then they just turn dark. Thats not the bad part. When they get older they can grow up to six inches and get highly aggressive, supposedly worse than other damsels.

And finally they are impossible to get out of your tank unless you get your live rock out, supposedly pretty quick and smart.

I guess I finally learned my lesson on impulse buys. Anyone know how long it takes them to grow up and become a terror. I took the smallest one they were selling maybe a half an inch in size.

True.

Good thing I need to move my tank in 4 months I can get the fish and maybe give it to the LFS or someone who might want it.
