Default snowflake moray eel tank

i curently have a 55 gallon reef with a 38 gallon sump and im considering setting up another tank beside it specificaly for an eel preferably a snowflake what would be the minimum size i should go for and im going to be linking these sytems together any help woudl be apreicated thank you

Liveaquaria recommends 50g min. but these eels can grow to 2' long & the bigger the better.

so do you think if i got another 55 and linked it to my system that woudl be good enough? it would be the only thing in the tank well and a cleaning crew. thanks for the link ive been looking at a couple young ones only 12 inch's long

yeah i think another 55gal tank would do just fine for a snowflake. be sure you got a really good lid on it.

ya thats what ive been reading that they are escape artists il have to make my pipes with a bafel in the midle or soemthign so he cant transfer into my reef haha

Careful what kind of cleaning crew you have. My brother had one and it picked off his hermits one by one.

alright thanks for the adivce ya im not ready to jump into it i want to get a bigger skimmer first ive been reading i should have a very good skimmer and id be pushing it with my current one
