Default Clams

Mkay,so I am starting a 30tall seastar tank that will be used for mostly SPS corals and harder to keep clams.I want to know what T5 lighting setup will be equal to 250watts of MH but also if T5 could care for clams and sustain the colour of the SPS corals and the clams.

Thanks.

Are the T5's the high output ones? Do they have the individual M shaped reflectors? How deep is a 30 tall?

I've got 2 Crocea under 4x 55 Watt T5 HO's, 2 bulbs Actinic, 2 10000K. They're high up, around 10 inches under the bulbs, but I've been moving one down slowly to see how low I can keep them. The colors aren't as intense as when I bought them, but they're not browning out, and are growing really fast.

Hope this helps, I'll keep you updated about the Clam that I'm moving down, if you like. I'm hoping to have it on the bottom by the end of the month.

I did a major rearrange to catch my Blue Tang. I've put one Clam on the bottom, and it seems happy, I'll watch to see if it starts to brown out or bleach. Should be able to tell within a week or two.
