what is better ro water or steam distilled

I believe that steam distilled yields water that is more pure than R.O. IIRC.

true, but and a big but... water this pure is a huge solvent and will start to adsorbe minerals from what ever piping is used in the distellery, so if you are using a home made copper one or a store bought one that uses copper cooling tubes I would be leary... is it enuf to introduce copper poisoning to your tank, probably not but what about over time. maybe, but is it worth the risk?

I'm interested in this as well, you could always use a TDS meter to see whether your makeup water contains any metals such as copper as Steve mentioned.

well im going to try it were would i get a tds meter? anybody got a spare one that they want to get rid of?
