Default glass thickness

just wondering
i just bought a 47 g cube tank at petsmart..but the glass is only 1/4 inch
could this become a problem with anything..cuz i noticed that some glass is 1/2 thick on some tanks?
any advice would be appreciated
should I return the tank?
thanks
Neal

I would be worried about a 31" tall tank out of 1/4" glass...

Default re tank

the good thing is that there is really heavy duty plastic 1 inch moulding around the top of the tank
i assume that a manufacturer wouldn't make a tank that would be able to hold the water
i dunno
