Bought a Tradacna Maxima

Just bought myself a 3" Tradacna Maxima at J&L on Sunday. It's not as nice (in terms of solid blue color) as the one on Andrew B's website but it was the blueist one left in the store. I'm happy as a clam. This is my first one.

Was also looking around some stores for some Montipora Capricornis but couldn't find one anywhere.

Hey, Jessica Alba was standing beside me at the Pacific Center Body Shop a while ago. That was a bigger thrill than getting a clam.

Hey Sam, congrats on the new addition. Don't worry about the coloring, it can and probably will change, especially if you have MH lighting. Mine is actually starting to get more purple and less blue as it gets larger, but I think that has just as much to do with only having VHO lighting, as it does with the clam getting larger (older?).

Well, I don't have Metal Halide lighting (just Power Compact) but my tank is only several feet from my floor-to-ceiling windows and I face SW so I hope the natual sunlight will help bring out the colors.

I wanted to request a special order for Montipora Cap at J&L but they said that they can't get them with any certainty so I'll just have to wait for some luck or mail-order from somewhere.

Jessica Alba is one of the fastest rising actresses right now. She's filming Dark Angel in Vancouver. She's everywhere right now; on every magazine, newspaper, commercial, tv interviews, etc. Currently #1 most Popular in the Actresses category on the AskMen website and many others. Strangely, when I saw her at the Body Shop, no one around the store knew who she was.

Monti cap is difficult to find around these parts. You pretty much have to be waiting for it to be unbagged at the store to get one. There are a number of reefers with frags, just a matter when someone would have one large enough to frag for you.
