Default what are silversides?

Hi all,

I keep reading everywhere that people feed their anemones silversides, what are silversides? And can I buy them at the grocery store (superstore for example)

I had fed my previous anemone frozen baby-scallops and it took it fine, and now I bought a new sebae anemone (Heteractis crispa) and would like to feed it something that it will like, and I can buy from the grocery store (safeway, superstore, save-on, etc a bit cheaper that way)

Are scallops ok? or should I switch to something else?

Thanks
Fresh.

I feed my carpet Scallops as well. You can find silversides at pretty much any LFS uaully have to buy a bag of them and with just an anemone it would last a long time.. I find the scallops to be easier to feed anemones because silversides are longer and harder for the anemone to fit in its mouth unless chopped up... JMO though.

I feed my carpet shrimp/prawns, scallops and sometimes silversides. It also is very large so manages to also scoop up lots of mysis and homemade mash that I feed my fish.
