i "hard wired" mine right to the plumbing under the sink using pressure fittings. works great and i don't wave to hook it up every time i use it.

i guess i could do that, my problem is i cant do any permanent mods to the plumbing...

if you use pressure fittings it would not be permanent, when you were done you could just change it back. if you want i can post a pic of mine.
