Default Another problem HELP!!

OK my yellow tang has ich ... I think. Little white spots on his fins and body. I don't know what to do, he is in a reef tank so medicating the tank is out of the question, should I leave it and see if it passes or pull it out into another tank ,I would have to set on up

By fresh water dip can somebody explain how to do this. I don't have the equipment for a hospital tank. maybe explain the garlic thing to , do they eat the garlic?

A fw dip is largely useless for curing ich, as quoted in the thread, so I wouldn't bother going that route.

The garlic method is to soak all their food in products like Kent's Garlic Xtract before feeding.

Hospital tank is the best way on curing a ich using a copper or hyposalinity. Read on the thread lot is explain on curing ich.

Thanks but as I was setting up a tank I came upstairs to find him dead If only I saw it sooner. Thanks for you help though.
