Hi Alan. I turn on the fireplace when the room temp goes down to about 15C I guess. This is maybe 45-60 times a year I estimate.

Hi. Question. Does the fireplace keeps the tank warm? Looks very christmasy. Do you intend to leave it year round? Regards Ken

Thanks Ande. Ken, the fireplace does add warmth to the tank but so far, I haven't seen the tank go above 27 or 28C which is still cooler than summer temperatures of 28-30C. No, I don't intend to keep the Christmas decorations up year round.

Nice decorating job Sam!
All that's missing is a plate of mysis and a glass of plankton for old saint nick

I was gonna do my stand in lights, but I thought the fish might go a little disco crazy, so maybe next xmas!
