Default Bubble Algea

Can bubble algea live on rock that was once live and resurface after the rock is cured again?

I think I should rephrase my question.

Will the rock that was once infested with bubble algea be reinfested with the same algea even after the rock has been through an acid bath?

I'm buying dead rock from a fellow reefer and they've told me that it was infested with bubble algea. Will I be at a higher risk of getting the infestation back in my new tank given no other external sources have been introduced.

If it was acid bathed then bubble algae shouldn't survive. I had the same problem one, bathed it and it never came back. But be careful with what you add to your tank again afterwards

Good to hear. Yeah I'm diligent with inspecting and dipping things when adding them to my tank.
