Seachem reef salt vs Instant ocean reef salt
Using instant ocean right now but I use to use the seachem reef salt. I liked the seachem and had good brown with it and I'm having good results with the instant ocean but traded a buddy coral for the rest of his seachem salt.
Worth the little bigger price ? |

That's unfortunate. What about bulk reef supply? Shipping cost too much?

If I used more salt it would be economical to order bulk but at a bucket a month and a half not really money efficient

Understandable. Still if u had the coin it would be nice to upgrade brands I bet. So far overall I'm satisfied with the instant ocean tho. I do think it should or could promote better growth rate with better salts. Hope the seachem does that for me

I've tried a lot of different salts and never saw any difference in growth rate. I find IO, once I add 25g Ca to my new water, is as good as Reefers Best, which is almost double the price.

Really?? That's a first, I think. It's the salt produced by the makers of Zeovit.

Started out with IO years ago. Switched over to Seachem and went down hill for a while. Couple pails worth. Switched back to IO and it took a while but my tank went back to looking good again. Seachem was a setback for my tank. Everyone has their oponion on different salts. I'm happy with IO and will not be switching ever again. It's a good priced reliable salt for me. Live in same town as Dearth. Is it a good salt for $59.99? Absolutely not, so thats why most of us here in PG stock up when going to Vancouver. Wheres the poll?
