I wouldn't mix them with swissguards or other skinny fish. This from experience.

They're basically harmless until they reach 4", then they bully other skinny fish.
Great fish though, one of my favorites.

I had one for awhile. He was such a jerk that he couldn't stand himself and committed suicide when I forgot the lid open. He was extraordinarily jerk face though. I have a couple clients with them and they are model citizens.

I had a Bodianus neopercularis that was the love of my tank until he started bullying some new ventralis anthias and then I caught him in the process of killing my supermale Rhomboid wrasse. I'm pretty sure he finished off my two Helfriches even though I didn't see it happen. Had to take him out, it was a sad time for Project mayhem. It also chased my candy basslet. Which as you can imagine was unacceptable.
Gorgeous fish, bad temper. |

Well that pretty much settles it. I was concerned about the smaller fish. Randall's and blackcap don't show up in this part of town. So not fish I am willing to risk loosing
Thank you |
