Default Updates of my 90 gallon

So it's been a while since i've posted any updates here. Been a bit hectic, family visiting, working hard, just gained my Canadian Permanent Residency also

Everythings been going well reef wise, it took a little to learn what effects different light settings on my IT2080 will have on my coral. So far I'm loving the unit, few hiccups to start and i have a few minor complaints, but they're just minor.

I learned that having a 20-30% more blue channel looks cool, but my coral suffered. I've brought it up to 50/50 now (with 60% on each channel now being the max of the day for 5 hours and a slow sunrise and sun set for a total light period of about 10 hours)

But enough of me talking, here are some pics!

In this pic you can see some bubble algae thats bothering my pipe organ, im considering some surgical procedures soon.

Before the bubble algae

And now the favourite photo I have so far. It took about 40 minutes of waiting to get this!

So yesterday I visited Mark (mseepman) and his fantastic tank. Spent about 2.5 hours and came away with a few goodies! So it prompted me to do a small update.

FTS with a neon Nintendo light my girlfriend picked up. It's pretty cool at night!

Unfortunately one of the goodies I got from mark broke after I epoxied it to my rock, so I glued it to some frag plugs. It was a very nice piece too if you imagine it as one.

I have frags of this star polyp that are doing great, they're just not extended as I moved everything around this morning.

I have a bit of a cyno problem right now but I'm hoping a few water changes, lighter feeding and keeping ontop of my rowaphos will clear it up in a few weeks.

Default Updates of my 90 gallon

Quick update from my phone, hope it works as planned. So here are pics I just took after getting over a really bad cyno problem. It was going on for probably 6 weeks with no sign of improvement. So while buying salt from the states I thought I'd give "chemiclean". This stuff is amazing. Within 2 days and with a 30% water change, rowaphos and carbon topped up my tank is crystal clear again. This is an assortment of pics, first ones should be a growth pic of a green long tentacle anemone I just sold over the course of 4 months, there's a pic of the cyno treatment on day 2 before the water change and turning the skimmer back on. Rest are taken today. I'm not sure how this will turn out, I'm using the imgur app and tapatalk.

So it's been a while since I updated. Here are some pics from today. iPhone and LED so please excuse the quality

This is the tang I rescued many months ago. Gotta thank Nick from reefsupplycanada.com for donating new era food which has really fattened this guy up!

Before

Now

Strawberry shortcake I got from Mark (mseepman), slow grower but amazingly vivid colour. You can see earlier in this thread what it started off as.

Hammer coral from Andrew (Asher)

I fried this guy when I first got my lights and he has bounced back incredibly!

2 of my chalice are recovering after moving house and I'm assuming having sand dumped on them constantly from my diamond goby.
