Default rinsing sand tap water OK?

I got some Caribsea Aragonite sand. It says to rinse it prior to putting it in the tank. Is it OK to rinse it with tap water, or do I have to use RO/DI water? If I rinse it with tap water and let the sand dry before putting it in, will phosphates and other contaminants remain in the sand?
Thanks.

I rinsed the same sand with tap water and it turned out just fine i also have a few sps in the tank and other corals and nothing seems to be wrong with them. IMO I think using RO/DI is just a waste of time because you have to wait for it to be filtered blah blah blah is just use tap water to rinse. It all up to you though.

We rinse ours with tap water to get of all the crud. Let it drain well then a final rinse with ro/di water.
