Default Sump media...

Hey guys, hoping to get some help on setting up my new 55 gallon sump

I have a 55 gallon reef tank running for around 3 months now

I a bunch of LPS and some softies in there, and they seem to be staying alive...the fish too...

I have decided to up-size my sump to a 55, mainly because I bought it for $60 already made

I added a divider just before the return area for media, that seems to be what alot of people have done

Wondering what media I should put in there. I know carbon is key, but heard that it affects the coral etc.

Any suggestions, along with maintenance procedures would be great...

Thanks again

Mike

Define what you wish to accomplish with this media. If you want biological, get live rock, or live rock rubble. If you want water clarity and cleaner water, run carbon. If you have phosphate issues, run GFO.

Lots you can use it for.
