![]() Hi,
I have recently purchased a Tek5 6x54w T5 light. Previously I could.only use two of my bulbs in my custom canopy as the heat build up was too high. Now that I am able to use all 6 bulbs I am wondering what's the best way to acclimate my corals to the extra light? I don't want to shock anything. I have mainly softies with some LPS and SPS. Thanks for your help, Dunc Sent from my HTC Incredible S using Tapatalk 2 |

![]() does it have 2 separate switchable ballasts? most t5 fixtures ive seen switch 2 bulbs on one circuit and 4 on the other. if so, run the 4 bulbs for a week or 2 then switch in the other 2. someone with more experience in t5s might chime in with a different opinion though.

![]() if your tank is already accustomed to having 2 t5s running over it, run the 4 bulb ballast for a little while and then bump it up to all 6. should be ok doing that.
