Default Reallly HUGE toadstool what to do?

My Toadstool leather has gotten really huge!!! Almost 2ft Diameter and the same tall!! Taking up a whole side of my 150g tank. I've heard you can just cur them? Can I like just hack his stem off like 4" off bottom or do I need to cut a sliver and restart another one?? My Clowns love him, but he's just to huge! And my location, shipping him to someone really isnt that easy.

I know a few people have just cut the head off the stem and then cut it into pieces for frag's .

I recently hacked our toadstool, it was dinner plate sized. He was irritated from a large water change , so I sliced it with a bread knife. worked great!!
