20K Radium VS 20K Sun Aquatics

Just got my 20K 400W Sun Aquatics bulbs yesterday and thought I'd post a quick side by side comparison with a 20K 400W Radium. The Radium(left in picture) is 3 months old and the Sun Aquatics bulb(right in picture) is 3 hours old. I'll post another pic after the 100 hour mark next week. They're running side by side off a dual 400W Blue Wave HQI ballast.


Note: this picture was taken of both bulbs at the same time so the colour difference depicted is very accurate.

Right now the Sun Aquatics bulb is a little bluer and not quite as intense as the Radium but we'll see how it looks by next week. I'm guessing it'll whiten up a little.

So far I'm really impressed with the colour

Thanks for the comparison. I'm thinking of trying Sun Aquatics bulbs when my Radiums are done too.

yup thats what I said a couple weeks ago the SA bulb has more purple than the radium and a better comparason for the radium would be the 14K SA.
