I found this growing on some of the rocks. Is this some type of algae???

thats padina brown algae,likes high nutrient,it will go away on its own

I think the common name is scroll algae, there is a picture of it in the Bob Fenner book "Reef Invertebrates" and they say it is an ideal macro algae for nutrient export.
