I get concerned when my tank hits 82 or so, it hasnt done that since we moved into our house 4 years ago. When it gets up around 86 I start to go into panic mode and investigate potential causes. Last time it was a skimmer pump with a seized impeller that shot up the temp. Lucky we have ac and a very cold basement so we dont have any problems with summer temperatures. I'm actually more likely to have problems at the other end of the temperature scale and had to add a 2nd heater...
