I would go for 1 10K and one actinic over 2 50/50s. That way you can use 2 timers and get a better dawn/dusk effect. And being able to see your livestock under just actinic for a portion of the day...

Yes I don't think that would be a problem. I have zoos in the same tank (24 gal) now as well. These could be a real centerpiece in a 10 gal.
