No, I do not believe this is the normal way they reproduce, and reproduction is pretty rare.

Skimmer choice
The remora pro is a great skimmer for a hang-on model, you can't go wrong if you go that route.
BUT, AquaC does not make the best (although they are good) in-sump skimmers IMO, so if you do go...

Skimmer type?
What kind of skimmer are you looking for? Hang-on, or in-sump? For what size tank?
I have a used Berlin Turbo, pump needs new impeller. I can also get new ASM skimmers.

No Cheap Glass
I have not been able to find any cheap glass in Edmonton either, depending on the application though, you can find some cheap plastic/acrylic (say for sump dividers)
