I wouldn't add a different species of anemone to a tank that size. You'll run the risk of chemical warfare. I'd be inclined to just return the sick one for a refund or store credit. You never know...

Thanks, but my camera always make the sandbed look white, even though it might not be.
My main concern is flow through the rock work. I guess it wouldn't hurt to upgrade either.

The closed loop will not add or diminish the flow through your sump. So you only want to count the GPH for the return pump.
That sounds like it should work then, less clutter in the sump.
